Snow doesn’t usually fall more than once every winter in the mountains that circle the San Francisco Bay. When it does, it’s often an exciting time for Bay Area residents as it makes the Bay look a little bit like the Sierra Mountains.
I was able to get most of the way up Page Mill Road in Palo Alto before the road became too icy. These photos were taken inside the Monte Bello Open Space Preserve and along Page Mill Road. I took these photos in the morning before all the snow melted, which is a good time to take photos but it’s rare that all the clouds have cleared, as they had today.
