Tomorrow will be my first WhiskeyFest and I’m really looking forward to it.
Last year I had tickets but wasn’t able to attend, and I saw others sell tickets for as much as $600 on ticket websites. The problem is that tickets go on sale eight months before the event, and sell out quickly. That makes the aftermarket for tickets lively and lucrative.
The whisky glass in this photo was a gift from my coworkers who were able to attend last year and somehow left with two bottles of Scotch.
According to the well known Whisky expert Michael Jackson, San Francisco consumes more whiskey per capita than any other city in the United States. I would have to agree with that because I have seen the whisky fly off the shelves at the many liquor distributers in the city.
From those who have attended before me, I have heard great things about WhiskyFest. I’m bringing a camera and will give a full report.
